Terms of Use

These terms cover your use of Cartridge, the app and this website. By creating an account, you agree to them.

Your account

You need an account, signed in with Apple, Google or an email code, to use Cartridge. You're responsible for what happens under your account. You must meet the minimum age Cartridge requires to sign up, which we check with a birth year at signup.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you write — your reviews, Stack titles and notes, and your bio. By posting a review or making a Stack public, you give Cartridge the right to display it to other users and, where relevant, to people without an account, at its own public page.

What's not allowed

When you use Cartridge, don't:

• Post anything illegal, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit involving minors, or that infringes someone else's rights.
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone.
• Spam, scrape, or try to interfere with how the app or this site works.
• Use another person's account without permission.

We rely on reports from the community to catch content that breaks these rules. If you see something that shouldn't be there, report it in the app or write to hello@insertcartridge.app. We may hide or remove content, and suspend or ban accounts, that break these terms.

Blocking

You can block another account. Blocking hides that account's content from you and yours from them. It isn't a substitute for a report if the content also breaks these terms — do both.

Game data

Game titles, cover art, platforms and release information shown in Cartridge come from IGDB and belong to their respective publishers and rights holders. Cartridge doesn't claim ownership of this data.

Subscriptions — Cartridge Plus

Cartridge Plus is an optional subscription, billed through the App Store on the plan you choose (weekly, monthly or yearly). A free trial, where offered, converts to a paid subscription unless you cancel before it ends. Subscriptions renew automatically and can be managed or cancelled at any time in your App Store settings. Refunds are handled by Apple under its own policies, not by Cartridge directly.

Account deletion

You can delete your account at any time from within the app. This removes your shelf, reviews, Stacks, profile and social activity, subject to what we describe in the Privacy Policy.

No warranty

Cartridge is provided as it is. We work to keep it running well, but we don't guarantee it will always be available, error-free, or that game data will always be accurate — it comes from a third-party database (IGDB) we don't control.

Changes

We may update these terms as Cartridge changes. We'll update the date at the top when we do, and material changes will be flagged in the app.
